Diaphragm Operated Control Valves

Control Valve

A diaphragm valve, or membrane valve, is a valve with an elastomeric diaphragm and a seat upon which the diaphragm rests when it is closed. The flexible diaphragm obstructs, controls, or isolates the flow of fluids and acts as a flow control device. In a diaphragm valve, the diaphragm element flexes up or down to increase or decrease the fluid flow rate. The valve is sealed when the diaphragm is pressed firmly against its solid seat. Diaphragm valves are linear motion valves that monitor and control linear movement of fluids. Diaphragm valves are named for the flexible disc that blocks flow when it contacts the seat of the valve. The diaphragm is a pressure responsive component that is highly flexible and produces sufficient force to open, close, or control the function of the valve. Diaphragm valves are like pinch valves that use a liner as part of the valve body instead of a diaphragm.

UPADHAYA or UVML offers different types of Diaphragm type Control Valves where in the user can operate the pilot valve for suited operation like controlling the flow or pressure which will result in fine operation of the diaphragm to gain desired results in the line. Such valves are suitable for throttling applications.

Flow Control Valve

In UVML Flow Control Valve when the valve is fed water from inlet end water enters the main valve control room through the needle valve and flows out of the main valve control room through pilot and ball valve to the outlet. At this time, the main valve is in a fully opened floating state. Adjust the flow control valve above the main valve and set a certain opening degree of the main valve. Adjusting the opening of needle valve and adjusting the spring pressure of pilot valve can keep positioning of main valve at the set opening and the pilot valve can automatically adjust when the pressure changes to keep the flow constant.

Pressure Reducing Valve

Pressure Reducing Valve

In UVML Pressure Reducing Valve when the valve is fed water from the inlet end, the water flows through the needle valve into the main valve control room and the outlet pressure acts on the pilot valve through the catheter. When the outlet pressure is higher than the set value of the pilot valve spring the pilot valve closes. The control room stops draining water. At this time, the pressure in the control room of the main valve increases and the main valve is closed. The outlet pressure no longer rises. When the valve outlet pressure drops to the set pressure of the pilot valve spring the pilot valve opens and the control room drains downstream. Because the displacement of the pilot valve system Is greater than the inlet water of the needle valves the pressure in the main valve control room decreases. Inlet pressure causes main valve to open. In stable state, water inlet and drainage of the control room are same. The opening of main valve is unchanged and outlet pressure is stable. Outlet pressure can be set by adjusting the pilot valve spring.

Pressure Relief Valve

Pressure Relief Valve

UVML Pressure Relief/Holding Pilot Valve is adjusted to pressure relief state water flows to the outlet through the needle valve. The main valve control room, ball valve, pressure relief/holding pilot valve, ball valve and main valve are in open state. When inlet pressure exceeds the safe value set by relief/holding pilot valve, relief pilot valve will automatically open and release some water through the ball valve to relieve pipeline pressure. When pressure returns to a safe value, the pressure relief valve automatically closes. As a pressure relief valve, the ball valve is usually open. As a holding valve: When the relief/holding pilot valve is adjusted to the holding pressure state as long as the main valve inlet water pressure is lower than the set value of the pilot valve, the pilot valve is closed. Main control room pressure increases, the main valve is closed. When upstream water supply pressure of the main valve exceeds the set pressure of the pilot valve, the pressure holding pilot valve can only be opened. The water in the control room is discharged to the outlet through the ball valve and the pressure reducing main valve in the control room is opened to start water supply. Then the upstream water pressure is maintained. When used as a pressure holding valve, the ball valve is normally closed or replaced with a wire plug.

Pump Control Valve

Pump Control Valve

UVML pump control valve is a type of back check valve installed at the pump outlet of high-rise buildings and other water supply systems to prevent media backflow. When the pump is about to stop supplying water. The valve is slowly closed about 90% in advance to prevent water hammer or water hammer caused by sudden stop of the pump. When the pump is completely stopped, the valve is completely closed again to prevent the backflow of the pumped water, and effectively protect the pump from the impact of the backflow. The product is an essential protection device for the pump outlet. The valve has a streamlined design. Accurate opening and closing can be realized by guiding and controlling the solenoid valve. Safe and reliable use can effectively prevent water hammer and water hammering sound, long service life, easy installation and maintenance.
