Strainers

Strainers are devices used in fluid systems to remove debris, particles, or impurities from liquids or gases. They protect equipment like pumps, valves, and pipelines by preventing damage caused by particles that could clog or corrode the system. Strainers work by using a filtering element, such as a mesh or perforated screen, which captures unwanted materials while allowing the clean fluid to pass through.
Strainers are used in a variety of industries, including water treatment, chemical plants, oil and gas, HVAC systems, and food processing. They help ensure the smooth operation of systems and prevent damage caused by particulate contamination.
Types of Strainers

Y-Strainers
Shaped like the letter "Y," these are commonly used for medium to high-flow applications.

Basket Strainers
Have a basket-shaped filter to capture larger volumes of debris, ideal for high-flow and high-volume systems.

Duplex Strainers
These are a type of filtration device used in fluid systems to remove debris and particles. They are designed for continuous operation, even during maintenance, by having two filter chambers that alternate in use. Duplex strainers are particularly useful in systems where uninterrupted flow is critical, such as in industrial, chemical, and marine applications.
